Drumochter Circuit is a route in “The Drumochter” region / range which is located in the The Drumochter Hills area of the Scottish Highlands as defined by the Scottish Mountaineering Club.
This is a route between two seperate points
This route covers 4 munros is the northern corner of the area and with easy terrain and a starting point above 450 metres they can easily completed in a days outing. Navigation is quite straight forward except for a series of dog-leg movement between Sgairneach Mhor & Beinn Udlamain which is obvious on the OS map.
The obvious circuit winds over Sgairneach Mhor, Beinn Udlamain & A'Mharconaich where a slight retracing of steps is required for the ascent of Geal charn. Great care is required crossing the stream when in spate as it can be dangerous.
Distance: 23km / 14 miles
Ascent: 1050m / 3445 feet
Time: 7 hours plus

Walkers should get permission from Network Rail to cross the line in the places on the route.
Also tricky navigation in bad weather as a plateau with faint paths in parts.
This month you MUST take ice axe and crampons, and have been taught how to use them. You also must have an awareness of avalanche danger and have a competent navigator

Mostly straightforward hillwalking; The stream crossing hard in spate, and the descent from Beinn Udlamain is very steep in parts. Some faint boggy paths.
