Creag Meagaidh is a route in “The Loch Laggan” region / range which is located in the Glen Roy to Monadhliath area of the Scottish Highlands as defined by the Scottish Mountaineering Club.

This is a circular route

A good route traversing one of Scotland's finest mountains Creag Meagaidh which is most famed for the cliffs surrounding the corrie of Coire Ardair on the north-eastern face. It is a complex mountain, taking the form of a flat summit plateau from which five ridges radiate enclosing some very fine corries.

Our route starts off along well constructed paths up to Lochan a'Choire then over steep rocky ground onto a bealach, continuing up steep grass slopes onto grassy plateau ridge to the summit. Descending via the eastern ridge around Coire Ardair taking in the 2 tops Puist Coire Ardair & Sron a' Choire along route.

There are good views down to Coire Ardair whilst on the ridge.

Distance: 16km / 9 miles
Ascent: 975m / 3200 feet
Time: 6 hours plus
