This route lives up to it's reputation for being extremely wet, and the crossing of Abhainn a' Gharbhrain is nearly impossible for much of the year. The route starts from the bridge over the Abhainn an Torrain Duibh over trackless ground which is nomally wet underfoot. Then over the river if possible where difficulties are left behind with a straightforward ascent onto the grassy southern slopes of Am Faochagach.

This route covers Beinne Dearg which is the highest munro in The Deargs, and Cona' Mheall which is the munro across on the east divided by the specacular Coire Ghranda. The approach from the south is rough and long from the A835 road by the eastern end of Loch Droma up the Beinne Dearg's ridge. From there descend to bealach between the 2 munros then climb Cona' Mheall and descend it's southern ridge down and head back to Loch a' Gharbhrain.

Seana Bhraigh is one of the top three most remote Munro's in Scotland and this route is from the nearer north-eastern side from Oykel Bridge offering a full traverse over Creag An Duine. You can drive to Corriemulzie Lodge but be warned the road contains deep potholes and the car park is just a grassy area.

The summit point of Seana Bhraigh is dramatically positioned above the magnificent Loch Luchd Choire on its east and looking over the summit cairn to the north boasts views of Ben More Assynt, Eoin, Tarsuinn, Stac Polly, Cul Beag, Cul Mor, Suilven & Canisp.

This is a circuit over 3 munros on a full days outing starting just to the south of Inverlael Farm to the east of the A835 road to Ullapool. The route follows a good stalker path into Gleann na Squaib on the north of the River Lael upto Bealach an Lochain Uaine which is a return point once Beinn Dearg has been climbed.

From the peaks there are good views over surrounding areas An Teallach to the west , The Fannaichs on the south west. From the northern peak Eididh nan Clach which is also the smallest peak there are good views to the north of Ben More Assynt & Conival.

Seana Bhraigh is one of the top three most remote Munro's in Scotland and this route follows the footsteps of the first munroist (Rev. Robertson) . The route starts from the A835 road to Ullapool along a private road at Inverlael. This is a long strenuous route into remote wilderness countryside.

The summit point of Seana Bhraigh is dramatically positioned above the magnificent Loch Luchd Choire on its east.
