This is a classic route on one of Scotland's greatest peaks taking in to munros. Liathach the Grey One situated in the picturesque Glen Torridon is a fortress defended against any assault from almost every direction. The path up looks almost unclimbable and those who manage to find a way up will discover a couple of munros separated by a narrow ridge (famous Am Fasarinen pinnacles) that have drops of 3000 feet either side.

Good scrambling skills, a head for heights & a bit of experience is required for this outings. Guides are available in Torridon.

Of all the peaks in The Torridon region Tom na Gruagaich , Beinn Alligin - Sgurr MhorBeinn are the easiest to climb and least threatening making it a fine first introduction to the pleasures of Torridonian hillwalking.

A full traverse of the mountain is well within the bounds of a day's walk and offers some excellent ridge walking and splendid views of the area if you get a clear day as it's a pretty wet region.

Maol Chean-dearg is a munro on the north west side of Glen Carron and is a fairly easy peak to climb. The route is on good paths upto the glen. The only awkward section being the sandstone blocks which are on the summit point. You are rewarded with fine views of this strange rocky landscape of Damph & Coulin.

There is a fabulous view down the steep face to Loch an Eion below and across to the Torridon peaks tp the north.

This route takes in Beinn Liath Mhor & Sgorr Ruadh and is one of finest walks in this region on Scotland.

From Achnnashellach the right of way which goes up Coire Lair to Torridon is taken for two kilometres where a cairn indicates a path bearing right leads onto Beinn Liath Mhor's rigde which gives excellent views of Torridon. Beinn Liath Mhòr's descent is not a straight forward walk as there are areas of crags and high rock steps at the foot of the pass between the two mountains. From the pass easy going onto Sgorr Ruadh and descent via pass between Sgorr Ruadh and Fuar Tholl.

The path crosses the River Lair which may need wading through.

Beinn Eighe is a spectacular range of mountains which form a high ridge with the two munros standing on the western end.

The approach to the corrie is full of anticipation and needless to say you are not disappointed on arrival, the entrance to Coire Mhic Fearchair is, quite simply, stunning even in bad weather.

Then a the fantastic scramble up the far slope onto the ridge bagging of Ruadh Stac Mor we and taking in the relic plane wreck quietly and across the rather daunting looking ridge linking the route over to the far Benin Eighe ridge and onto the final munro Spidean Coire nan Clach.
