Arrochar Heritage Site

Arrochar Alps is a region in Scotand and is located in the area Loch Lomond to Loch Tay as defined by SMC

There are 5 munros around here.The highest munro is Beinn Ime at a height of 1011 metres .The smallest munro is Ben Vane at a height of 915 metres .

Details

The mountains to the West & North of Arrochar are among the best known & popular in Scotland. Of the six peaks the most famous and finest is The Cobbler (Ben Author) which is not of Munro Status.

The Arrochar Alps is one of the birthplaces of Scottish rock climbing due to it's easy access by train when the car wasn't the main form of transport.
