Sgurr an Lochain is an munro in Scotand and is located in the area Loch Eil to Glen Shiel as defined by SMC (and lies in region known as South Shiel Ridge )

Sgurr an Lochain is a Munro located in the West half of the 14 km long South Shiel Ridge. It is the most distinctive peak on the ridge and has the only North facing corrie to hold a lochan therefore has the name "Sgurr an Lochain" meaning Rocky peak of the little loch.

The can be climbed on a traverse of the three western peaks of the South Glen Shiel Ridge or on The complete South Glen Shiel Ridge Walk.

The hill has steep grassy slopes on its's Southern side and has steep deep rocky corries on it's Northern side.
