Maol Chinn-dearg is a Munro located in the middle of the 14 km long South Shiel Ridge. The hill has steep grassy slopes on its's Southern side and has steep rocky corries on it's Northern side.
Maol Chinn-dearg is the usual way of decsent if splitting up the South Shiel Ridge into two routes.
