Mountain Description for Braigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain
Braigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain is one of three mountains that form the Beinn a'Ghlo massif and lies to the northeast of Blair Atholl in between Glen Tilt & Glen Loch. It's a complex hill with its summit at the top of four quite small wide ridges which consists of patches of grey scree amongst grass along the ridges. Very little time or energy is save by doing this munro on it's own and is usually climbed alongsite
Carn Liath & Carn nan Gabhar.
Usual access is via the southern ridge which is wide and twists like a snake to connect to the munro Carn Liath. Alternatively access is given on the eastern ridge via the Bealach an Fhiodha which links to Carn nan Gabhar. More effort is required to reach this munro from Glen Tilt or Glen Fearnach.
Braigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain has a panorama that includes the Cairngorms to the north , the Glen Shee hills to the east and an aerial view down into Glen Loch below.
