Beinn Mhanach is munro number Two Hundred and Eleven
Mountain Description for Beinn Mhanach
Beinn Mhanach and its lower top, Beinn a'Chuirn (924 metres) lie between the 4 munros to the west sometimes called the orchy hills (Beinn aChreachain, Beinn Dorain, Beinn Achaladair, & Beinn an Dothaidh) and the head of Loch Lyon. They are among the more remote mountains of the southern highlands, hidden from view by their grander neighbours on the west.
On the south the slopes are grassy and moderately sloped, but there are rocky outcrops on the northern slopes.
Beinn Mhanach is normally ascended via the southern slopes from Srath Tarabhan to the col between Beinn Mhanach and Beinn a' Chuirn.
Whilst Beinn Mhanach can be climbed from Beinn Achaladair or Beinn an Dothaidh on the west, from the bealach. The estate owners are trying to persuade people to use the Auth Gleann approach to this undistinguished munro during the stalking season.
